"Serenity is not freedom from the storm but peace in spite of the storm”
“Sobriety Circle & Triangle: The three sided triangle represents the three part answer to addiction: "unity", "recovery" and "service" to a three part disease - physical, mental and spiritual, while the circle represents wholeness or oneness.
Why do you like that color?
Colors: What do they mean? What effects do they have on us? What do they tell other people about us? Colors are Universal, and throughout the ages, many different colors have been associated with different religious and spiritual meanings. But one aspect of color holds true in every corner of the world. The colors we chose are not arbitrary, but hold personal meaning for us. We definitely have certain colors that "attract us", and other colors we can not even stand to wear or have around us. The colors we chose are deliberate, carefully selected, and have personal meaning to us as an expression of "who we are". The colors we chose, to decorate our homes, flourish in our gardens, and adorn our body and personal spaces have a lot to offer us in the way of personal insight about what is going on inside, our innermost feelings and emotions. Read about the meanings of colors, and look at your personal surrounds, your wardrobe, your living spaces. What is your primary color? Your preferences? What colors bother you? Gemstones are a good way to add the properties of a color to your life. Worn close to the skin, in receptive areas (pulse points) - the wrist, earlobes, neckline, fingers and ankles... benefit from the crystal vibrations and help to align the chakras with the properties it needs for each color. Read the Color Meaning and find the colors you need to add to your life. The most effective way to add the power of red or correct a balance in the 1st Chakra is thru adding natural red crystals and gemstones to your everyday wardrobe so they are close to you for several hours at a time and touching your skin, (the pulse points: ears, wrists, ankles, and neckline) and thus effecting your aura and Root Chakra. This is much more effective than carrying stones in your purse or pocket, or placing them in your environment. For direct healing, the jewellery can be placed on the Chakra itself. Sobriety Stones is symbolic jewelry based on the ancient meaning of stones, and how they are applied to the 12 Steps through spiritual practice and "principles of right living" as suggested in the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous. (and other 12 Step and Spiritual programs)
One of the reasons I created Sobriety Stones was to make anniversary jewelry for people in recovery that didn't have an AA or NA symbol on it that would prevent them from wearing it freely to work or church.
The traditional symbols of recovery are so well known now, with TV and the Internet, that many people have choses not to wear such obvious symbols in public. (in keeping with the Anonymous principal).
Therfore, I do not often use the traditional triangle or squares of "official" AA , NA, or Ala non Jewelry, but am willing to do os upson request. :)
We do offer unique items like the "Serenity Prayer Bracelet", "12 Step Necklace or Bracelet", "Came to Believe" bracelet, "The Sobriety Bracelet" , "Dual Addiction" bracelets, and jewelry for success and prosperity, or protection from negative influences, like "people, places, and things".
Custom jewelry can be created for AA (Alcoholics Anonymous) NA (narcotics anonymous) alanon, OE (Overeaters Anonymous) EA (Emotions Anonymous) ACOA (Adult Children of Alcoholics) GA (Gamblers Anonymous)
