Spiritual, Inspirational Recovery Bracelet
For some of us - Amethyst is the Stone of Spirituality AND Sobriety
Amethyst is a stone of the mind. It helps to bring calmness and clarity where there is anxiety and confusion. Wear Amethyst if you want to get in touch with your intuition, your feelings, or your values. Amethyst helps one learn of all things spiritual, mystic and psychic. Especially aids sobriety; alcohol, food, sex, and other addictions.
It is also the "Stone of Transformation". I can't think of a better stone to symbolize Sobriety and the 12 Step Program in general. "Transformed" means that we are NOT as we once were...thank God!
There's a story of Bill W, and his friend Dr. Silkworth, and how he met him again several years after his recovery. He wrote an endorsement of the program, and in that letter, wrote that the man standing before him bore no resemblance to the man he had treated a few years back. He says it was as if he had been "transformed into a new man".
So I thought this stone was especially appropriate to symbolize "the transformation of sobriety" as a whole.
